I can't believe I actually posted this on Youtube. It's my first video so the quality is not very good, but I had fun fooling around. I’m a bit hesitant to post a video of myself, especially doing yoga, but it is a silly fear that is rooted in poor body image (where’s my yoga butt? Oh, I don’t have one, I have my mother’s flat butt!). So this is big step for me to put this out there. I didn’t even edit out the part where I fall because real yogis fall sometimes, even if they’ve been doing it for 14 years.
So enjoy this quick glimpse in to my personal yoga practice.
I love the twisty cat-cow!!!! I so cannot get my spine to move that gracefully :) Also, I often fall out of that pose- yesterday while practicing in the park almost every one of us stumbled out of a few poses. :) i think it adds a bit of fun and brevity to my practice!
ReplyDeleteLovely video!
I loved the twisty cat-cow too. I've never seen you do that one...all your belly dancing surely must have helped you master the this movement, at least to make it look so flowing and graceful. Sorry about the flat butt but we are a flat butt family and there's not much we can do about it. Congrats on your first video.
ReplyDeleteLove, Mom
I guess I just inherited the genes from your side of the family!
ReplyDeleteThe twisty cat pose is certainly a new way to move for a lot of people, but since I take belly dance lesson, I guess I kinds find thise undulating moves to be pretty natural for me. Just takes practice.
