Now lupines are a wild flower that I can name (I would hope that every Nova Scotian can!) and are in bloom now in lawns, ditches, and along highways. They often cover a large area of space. I have a small patch at the end of my driveway. I love seeing the colorful spikes.

Hello. I've been dropping in to read your posts for a while, and thought I'd say hi. I live on a little island in the pacific northwest, and the world is awash in purple lupines. It seems like the ground is springing up with life.

Glad you decided to say hi! I have fantasies if hippie house on islands of the Pacific Northwest--maybe someday I'll visit the area and rent a cabin or something.
