Down in Annapolis Valley: Tangled Gardens

At first, things did not look so good for our day trip to the fertile Annapolis Valley. On the way we got caught it a downpour, and there was even some lightening.

But by the time we made it to my parent's house and finished a delicious lunch, it was clear and mostly sunny skies, as you can see here in the photos taken in my mother's garden. After dessert at Fox Hill Cheese (we had ice cream), we headed off to Tangled Gardens, an enchanted place for us fae folk (hehe) to roam.

Fae folk parents! P.S. They're not really Fae, just short! But I'm the smallest sprout in the family.

Entrance to the labyrinth.

Issy and I were the only ones who walked the muddy labyrinth. Glad we wore our rubbers.

Lots of paths to follow and get lost on.

And hidden art, large and small.

This lucky follow gets to live here!

Some photos my mother took. See them all on her blog.

I hope he's watching where he's going!

I'd say it was worth the $3 admittance fee!

  2. That looks like such an interesting place. I'll have to add it to my list of places to go - then if I ever get up there I'll have a beautiful place to visit.

  3. My mother liked it so much she's planning on going back in July to see what's blooming then.

  4. Grace...who's that little grey haired lady standing there with your dad...she looks way too old for him! Good thing you girls inherited your "looking young for your age" gene from your dad.

I did enjoy the gardens and do want to go back. I liked the pics of my gardens that you posted. I forgot to show you the nest in cedar when you were here. I looked in it last night and there were at least three babies in it. I got a great shot. There were two racoons on out front lawn this morning so hopefully they didn't find the nest...I'm too scared to look.
